#GenKC2016 Keynote Speaker, Kay Barnes

Saturday Keynote Speaker, T.C. Christensen

Filmmaker T.C. Christensen has earned more than 270 national and international awards for writing, editing, directing and producing movies. Because of his outstanding ability as a director of photography, T.C. has also earned membership in the American Society of Cinematography. He will be the final Keynote Speaker for GenealogyKC, appearing after the FREE showing of his film The Cokeville Miracle. (Watch the trailer.)

This movie tells the remarkable story of the actual 1986 hostage crisis at the elementary school in the rural Wyoming town. It is a story that relates poignantly to many genealogists’ passion of getting to know their own family members who have passed on.

The Cokeville Miracle will be shown at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, September 17, at the KCMO Police Academy Auditorium, at 6885 NE Pleasant Valley Road, KCMO 64119, near the KC Temple, immediately following the last Saturday class of GenealogyKC. T.C. Christensen will make comments and answer questions following the film.
