Death’s Doings: The Records When Someone Dies!
When someone dies, there is a treasure trove of information that comes together that is truly a genealogist’s “family” fortune! This presentation is to show attendees what sorts of records are produced when a person dies. This will be a PowerPoint presentation of examples of everything from the obituary in the paper to the toe tag on the body in the morgue. But more importantly, the class will discover the kinds of records that exist at the time of one’s death.
And, of course, these all lead to the clues of the deceased’s past! Hopefully, class members will discover record types they haven’t thought of before!
