Heather Dodd is the daughter of an adoptee with 23 years of experience with adoption search and genealogy. She began helping others with their search for family in 2007. In 2015, she founded the Missouri Adoptee Rights Movement and has been instrumental in getting Missouri laws changed so that adopted adults and their descendants may have greater access to information about where they came from.
