Chelsea has been the assistant manager at the Midwest Genealogy Center for the last two and a half years, where she supervises the development of new genealogy classes. Previously, she was the manager of the Mary B. B. Crouch Genealogy Branch of the Cass County Public Library system from 2015 to 2021. Chelsea also served as a member of the Cass County Historical Society board of directors from 2021-2024. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with honors, earning degrees in International Studies and Anthropology. Chelsea enjoys exploring ways to demystify genealogy and expand access for families of all kinds.

From Clues to a Conclusion: Evaluating Evidence in Genealogy - Chelsea Clarke This intermediate-level class covers how to develop effective research questions, follow a research plan, and effectively evaluate and analyze sources, information, and evidence. We will explore various research examples to provide an introduction to analyzing evidence in accordance with the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) to reach sound conclusions. This class is intended for researchers who have some experience, a solid foundation in beginning research methodology, and are now ready to take their skills and knowledge to the next level.
