What is GenealogyKC?
GenealogyKC is a free conference for those interested in family history and the technology we use in family history. GenealogyKC is affiliated with the annual RootsTech conference held in Salt Lake City which is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Registration is now open!
Where will GenealogyKC be held?
Genealogy KC will be held at 6751 NE 70th St., Kansas City, Missouri, 64119, at the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints’ meeting house, known as the Liberty Missouri Stake Center. It is located adjacent to the Kansas City Missouri Mormon Temple. See a Google Map
How do I register?
Simply go to the Registration page, add registration to your cart, then at checkout fill in your information. Be sure to add your lunch orders for Friday and Saturday to your cart as well! Online payments are processed through Stripe for your safety and convenience.
What will I learn at GenealogyKC?
Sessions will be presented by genealogy and family history experts from all over Kansas City and the country. Experts will also be on hand for one-on-one genealogy consultation. All this is free of charge and open to the public. Register Now!
What should I bring?
Bring your laptop and your questions. (We will have limited wireless internet available, but make no guarantees on available bandwidth.) Whether you’re just getting started or you need help with a difficult research question, our experts will be there to help.
We suggest attendees also bring a sweater. Some past attendees said a few sessions were chilly so we suggest having a sweater or light jacket if your have a tendency to feel cold.
