Kathleen is a retired lawyer and member of the Clay County Archives Board. She wrote a book, Two Shots by a Stranger: An 1866 Double Homicide Revisited (2017), based on a criminal investigation of the matter. She is also Vice-President of Northland Genealogy Society.
