Mark Nye

Mark Nye

Mark has been active in family history for over 30 years. Since 2012, he has added 29,000 names to FamilyTree and made 350,000 total contributions to FamilySearch.


Mark has been a popular family history speaker and taught classes at GenealogyKC since 2022 and elsewhere since 2014.  Among members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he has served as a ward Temple & Family History leader and as an Area T&FH leader in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


Currently Mark is working with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' General Music Committee with the assignment to research, document, and write biographical summaries for all deceased authors and composers of the hymns that will be included in the Church's new hymnbook.
